Default Chilly climate control

Hi,my climate control on my 98 S40 has decided it will only blow cold for some reason. If you alter it to warm the inside up the blower kicks in (so the sensor must b working) but only cool air is blown out.The problem seemed to start in the bad floods the other day although i've not been through any deep water with it.My first thought was coolant level but the engine is running as it should at around 90 degrees.Any ideas????

I had this problem years ago on another vehicle and it turned out to be an air-lock in the heater matrix. Could be the same on yours, or maybe the flap that directs the air over the heater matrix isn't functioning somehow. It's a pain in the arse nowadays with these problems, at least years ago you could actually hear the flap moving when you switched from hot to cold or vice-versa.
That's all I can think of sorry.
Hope this helps.

Me again,
Try checking the fuse/motor which controls the opening and closing of the aforementioned flap. I have a list of what the fault codes mean, but that's useless without you having a fault code reader I guess, though if you want them just PM me.

Have checked fuses and they are all fine, also i can hear motor moving whatever it needs to when i change it from hot to cold.Think it must either b an air lock or something to so with the sensor,it's just a case of knowing where to start!!!
