Default Suction entry recirculation mode s60

Anyone knows where the suction entry in recirculation mode is in a s60?
Is it behind the glove compartment (right) in a left side steer car?

No
If your recirculating, the entry point cant be outside of the car aint it? ;-)
It blows in the car with air from inside the car

Maybe its shutted of in the place your suggesting but the air must come from somewhere inside the interior

That's what i was suspecting according to the noise when recirculation was activated
Is it reachable without hours of hassle ?

Depends what you want to do if I open the glove box full I can just see the grill if I look between the glove box and the dash.

This photo was take with my iphone just looking over the back of the opening part of the glove box , you could just get your fingers to it i would guess.

You should be able to get a pipe in no problem did some thing like that to clean my air con.
a couple of tips for you 1. make sure the car is in air recirculation mode or the vent will be shut as shown in the picture, 2. remove the cabin filter as its in the duct work after this vent or it will filter out your air con cleaner.

The air filter is only in the route for outside air?
I checked the vent opening from the last Photo and its indeed opening and closing with pressing the recirculation mode

Remove the wipers (might need a puller) and the scuttle panel below the windscreen (outside the car), push the pins through the centre of the retaining clips (catch the pins for re-insertion) and remove the rubber mouldings at either end to do this.

On the passenger side (RHD) you will find the exterior air intake for the cabin and the recirculation flap which you are already viewing through the glove box, the flap closes for recirculation or otherwise opens to let air into the car from outside (see outnumbered diagram above post).

You can see the blower motor and impeller from above (and the AQS or air quality sensor if you have one, this is what "sniffs" any pollution and automatically switches to recirculation mode, WHEN/IF it works!). The impeller vanes can become caked with dirt which impairs the efficiency, be careful if cleaning, the impeller is balanced, it may even have a balance weight, or you will end up with an imbalanced impeller and vibration.

Whilst it is apart check the two scuttle drain holes which drain into the engine bay, one at either end, for blockages, especially if you have a MY car which is prone to the recognised cem water damage. I believe it is the blockage of these which causes the water to overflow into the car and down the loom to the cem under the dashboard.
