Satnav dvd reader
Has anyone got a spare dvd reader hanging around? Preferably one that works? Mines not loading discs and I’ve found out there’s a plastic bit inside that is part of the load/eject mechanism that’s broken.
Mine is part 8673942-1 but as long as the actual drive unit is the same, I’ll swap it out into my electronics box to stop the car moaning about wrong units being installed! |

Sounds similar to how our dvd reader behaves, it ejects the disc fine but doesn't seem to realise when you try to reinsert it...
Hopefully it's fixed now but if not, free bump for your post! Out of interest does your nav still power up with no disc or does it refuse to power on? (ours also doesn't switch on, just stays resolutely stuck down the top of the dash)...
