Be Very careful with your spark plugs Bobby.. I had awful problems when i put some cheap ones in.
I'm using Denso R's (almost £40 a set of 4). Before that i bought some champion EON1's fron halfrauds for £20 and it caused massive problems. Got my money back tho <G> In fact the halfauds guy during lookin up the part to see if he had something else (even after me telling him i already bought good ones) looked up and said "petrol?"... "errr. i'm buying spark plugs?"... "yeah. Petrol?" Oh dear :\ Volvo genuine, NGK R's or Denso R's are about all i can say will work correctly... Dont be tempted to skimp on the plugs, they do make a massive difference

Hilarious. (To be very charitable I suppose you could say maybe he was thinking LPG or something... unlikely though.)

find a member on here called "RUFE" he works at FRF swansea, in there parts dept , and FRF have kindly given VOC forum user a discount off retail when you go via "rufe" (simon) http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=57125 and http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/member.php?u=10417 also dont forget ebay, you can get a set of Gen plugs for a s/v40 (non turbo non GDI) for about £15 posted, you can also get oil filter/plugs/sump washer for about £18posted... oils, best bet is local , unless someone has a free shipping deal , as the weight/shipping will hike the £ and,,,as it happens,, http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=99519 Really dont fit "non gen" spark plugs, that way a world of cruddy running lies. similarly with the oil filters, they seem to just not behave as good as a gen one. oil,, a Decent one will be a lot better imho than "cheapo supermarket" type , castrol magnatex 10w40 being my "fix" of choice there, hope that helps
