Default Need help with fittiing an alternating headlight flasher

I'm fitting a Whelen alternating headlight flasher unit to my V50 2.0d with Bi-Xenon's and am having a little difficulty getting it to work as per the insturctions with the unit. If anyone has any help they could offer then please get in touch. I have attached the V50 wiring diagram and the instructions from Whelen if thats any help. Cheers, Chris.

Xenon lights are a high tech flourecent tube, they do not have an element like a normal halogen bulb, the work on a high voltage arc. This means they need all sorts of electrobics to "ignite" them, then other electronics to keep them lit. If you could make them flash you would blow the electronics in no time. Just like you would never try and flash office strip lights, Its a major no go.

However, if dont see any reason why the main beam bulbs shouldnt be set to alternate so long as you wire direct to he bulb. Activatig main beam also lifts the xenon beam, you need to be sure you dont interfere with that system.

Sorry this doesnt fix your prob, but it may stop you causing damage.
