Default Replacing Sidemirror housing 2007

Hi all....

Anybody know how to replace the side mirror housing, how to removed the painted housing from the mirror and not destroying it ?

Have mirrors (complete set of 2) from a 2007 that I like to respray and fit to a 2006 car, so need to take of the painted part.

Looking at Vadis it seems that you have to remove the glass by sliding it out and then it's a simple case of pushing the cover off from the insdie using your thumbs.

Thanks for your reply.

I have the mirror glass off. The housing/shell is fixed by some tabs inside and it does not come off by just pushing, must be some nice way to get it off without destroying the outer housing/shell.
