The fact it's an awesome car goes without saying, however theres a more sensible reason:

My car is the ONLY substantial asset I own with any real value. Having re-considered by financial position, I'd much rather pay my debts off slowly and keep my valuable asset, than sell the asset to pay off debts - leaving me with nothing to fall back on.

Also I want to tune it.....

Hang on to what you got....

... consolidate, look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.

Same as what I'm doing - and besides, you need some pleasures in life

When you get around to tuning it.. give me a PM!

I think you would be surprised about the value of a car like a T5 S40 at Auction.

I just paid £5000 including fees at Colchester Manhiem last week for an ex lease V50 2.0d. Yes it had nigh on 100k on it but is an 08/08 and will return 50+mpg.

The T5 is a much faster and better equipped car but I think these days the fuel costs are affecting values.

As an example a mate is selling his 57 plate WRX, last of the four doors with the 2.5 engine, and only 15k miles and he would be happy to get £7k, for a one owner car it is crazy cheap.

If only I did low annual miles.

Have always fancied a T5 of my own since using one for some sub contract Ambulance response work in Kent in 2008. They were Police spec 2007 models with the autobox and were very quick. Much better than the diesel V50's with a drug fridge instead of a rear seat that Secamb were using.

Good luck with the sale OP. Your car looks mint from the pictures.

A sad state of affairs that the run of the mill diesel ones are worth more than a T5.
