Volvo Guinness World Record Attempt - 31st March 2019

Just to confirm the date for the VOLVO600 World Record Attempt is 31st March 2019.

I've got a 940 with no MOT or insurance. Could I A frame it down behind my V70 and use it in the record attempt, either towed or driven?

Don't see why not. Its on private ground. I think as long as drives under its own power it will count

All you need to do is go to www.volvo600.co.uk and print off the forms and follow the instructions.

A question has been asked of me about this which I didn't have the answer to,so I'm asking on here.The question[s] was/were What happens if more than 600 turn up? Is it only the first 600 arrivals that get to take part,with the rest becoming "spectators"or does everyone who turns up get to take part in the record attempt?

I believe everyone that turns up could well be part of it.

I can imagine people will turn up without the forms and then be turned away. They seem to be very strict on the registration process.

I'm sure the events team and the airfield have considered that more than 600 may show and taken the necessary steps to accommodate them.

The 600 is merely a chosen number as it beats the current record. It could've been called #Volvo700, 800, 1,000

So far its expected that over 1200 will be there. The reason its called the 600 is thats just how many is needed to break the record. The current record is 570 and was set in Poland in 2010. The more the merrier
