Default Damper life

I'mn getting the feeling that my dampers are starting to let go a little, cars coming up to 48k and feels a little loose at the back, like the wieght isn;t being reined in. I think this is a little early in thgeir life to be letting go, anyone else got the impression that theirs are on the way out at an early stage?

It depends how bad it is getting, at 50k I would certainly expect to be able to feel dampers start showing their age a bit. If it's really noticeable have you checked them to see if there are any leaks etc?

Could be suspension bushes rather than the dampers themselves, they don't usually start to knock until they're really shot.

There could be a number of causes for this so unless you know your way around suspension I would invest an hour's labour at a dealer or specialise in getting what the problem is properly diagonosed.

Cheers,
John

Wouldn;t mind, but with a baby on the way I don't think the missus would rate FSD's as much as I would!
