DPF sensor potentiometer question.
Is it possible to solder a potentiometer onto the pressure sensor to trick the ecu into thinking the DPF is working correctly? My ECU is locked, so the remapper I used wasn't able to proceed with removing it from the software.
I know the DPF subject is a controversial one, so I fully understand any risks involved. It has been gutted and welded instead of being replaced with a straight through pipe. The reason for removal was for power gains, improved MPG and to remove the future problem of it getting blocked (which I've had twice). My initial plan was getting a stage 2 which required, I believe a cat and dpf removal, KN filter and updated intercooler. |
