Annoying clicking from egr valve

Hi everyone, when I turn my ignition on, on my Volvo c30 2.0d 2007 the egr solenoid is constantly clicking does this mean it's ready for the dustbin or does it need cleaned.
I have no warning lights on dash and car drives OK but I just don't want in causing other problems if it's faulty.

So not one person can answer my question.
I find that very disappointing to be honest and it's obviously like trying to get blood out of a stone on here.
Not exactly the most friendly car site I've ever been on.

Seriously, give people some time. You can't expect to get an answer instantly every time you have a small problem or a question...

Its probably the big end that's the problem. Best sell up and buy an alfa.
