Default S40 2010 - Cabin Heater ONLY blows Hot

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas where I can identify what is causing the cabin heater to blow hot only. How ever much I change the temperature controls nothing changes.

Under the dash seems to be so hot I can't touch it after a run of only a few miles.

I can not find any reference to a heater control valve that I could check is operating and or change, and worried that if I clamp the water pipe during the summer it might cause other issues.

Any suggestions please, I am so hot, and not in a good way!!

Thank you

The climate module might just need recalibrating or the cabin temperature sensor could be dead.
You really need Dice and Vida or you could be guessing for a while.

I know it's an old thread but I had the same issue on my V50 when I got it (well pretty much the same problem, mine was blowing ice cold in the winter). My drivers side temperature adjustment did absolutley nothing and it turned out that the seat heating module under the seat caused the problem since they are all connected with the lin bus system. It's easy to diagnose too, just disconnect it and if your temperature control works after that then the module is the problem and needs to be replaced. Just be careful you don't accidentally disconnect the wrong plug or you will have an airbag failure error afterwards which needs to be erased with vida. Hope this helps anyone else in the future.
