Default Where is ECU on C30 SD Drive 2009

Good Day, This is a stupid question and I cannot believe I am asking. Where is the ECU on this vehicle? I've Googled, under front right wheel arch !! No its not there, engine compartment next to power steering, no its not there!
This is my daughters car, it failed whilst out and allsorts showed up on the RAC readout of ECU. I got car back and had all 'faults' deleted and started anew.
My daughter borrowed my car and I drove her C30. Drove fine, then suddenly wipers started and would not stop, indicators stopped working? I stopped car, went to supermarket, restarted, all ok again ? I took all fuses out, renewed, cleaned. Drove again, ok for a week then drove to work, 11 pm pickup car and dead as a dodo !! Next day went back put in key and fine ??
Left it with garage for a week, they said all ok until day i went to pickup, and same prob, wipers etc, they said ECU, but they did not want to do it.
So after all this I decided to remove ECU and send for testing, but where is it please??

The ECU is located in the passenger side wheel arch, under the plastic arch liner.

There is also the CEM fuse box located under the glove box in the passenger footwell.

Either of these can cause major electrical faults and error codes.

Well as you can see, the ECU has had water ingress to at least the outside. No gasket around the outside of the containing plastic box? I'll send away and have it tested.

Thumbs down

Your issues sound more CEM related than ECU to be fair.

CEM Central electronic module

I had multiple faults including wipers going off at random.
The module on the S40 is below the glovebox.
Probably the same on the C30.

Disconnect the battery then drop open the cem and use contact cleaner on all plugs and connectors including the fuses, i used a toothbrush to get into the sockets.
