Smile First service as a new owner

I have a 2002 S60, it's done 47,000 miles and is in pretty good nick.

The car has been serviced every year at the Volvo dealership apart from last year when it was serviced by another garage (prior to me having purchased it).

It is now booked in for a 'standard 12 Month' service on Tuesday, but is there anything I should be asking them to look at, other than what they will be looking at during the standard service?

I want them to upgrade the gearbox software so the stop/neutral is disabled, but other than that, is there anything else?

Cheers

Steve

Default While you're at it.....

Hello, Give the transmission fluid a sniff. 10 year old "lifetime" fluid could benefit a sump drain and fill. Kira

Default Service over....

Well, the service has been done and a I'm £272.00 lighter, not bad for a dealer service....

New cam belt, turbo pipe gasket and fuel filter on order.....

I asked them about disabling the stop/neutral feature on my auto gearbox and they told me that they couldn't do it, I'm sure I've read that this can be corrected?

I also noticed on the way home from the garage some revving of the engine, at low speed and when stopped, the engine would over-rev and would surge. I dropped it into neutral and gave the engine some throttle and it seemed to stop the engine revving by itself. Any idea what this could be and if it's an issue?
