Wink Fault codes on 400.

Fault codes stored in the memory Data Link , can be accessed without
any specail tools or equipment .
The Data Link is located on the inner wing top next to the air filter, it is
black and about 2in square.
The process for accessing , reading and erasing is follows:

Trouble codes are displayed by the LED on the data link connector.

Accessing.

Open data link cover.
Insert system selector cable ( which is stored in cover top ) into socket 2.
Switch ignition on .
Press test button for 0.5 to 1 second.
Count LED flashes.
Note trouble codes. Compare with trouble code table. ( in the attachment
with this ).
Trouble codes consist of a sequence of three groups of flashes.
A 3 second pause seperates each group.
For example
1 flash 3sec pause 2 flashes 3 sec 1 flash
This = a code of 121.

Trouble codes must be accessed and faults rectified before codes can be
erased.

Erasing.

Open data link connector cover.
Insert system selector cable in socket 2.
Switch ignition on .
Press test button for 5 seconds minimum.
Release button. Wait until LED illuminates.
Press button again for 5 seconds minimum.
Ensure trouble codes have been erased.
The ECM fault memory can also be erased by diconnecting the battery.

Hope this is of use to some one .
again the list of codes are in the attachment.

I guess this is the fault codes for socket 2. Do you have the fault codes for socket 6? I have codes for socket 1, 3 and 7.

You don`t have to find the codes. On my car only socket 2 and 3 are connected to the rest of the electric system.
But I got som fault codes out of socket 2: 122, 223 and 311.

The problem is when I get between 3000 and 4000 RPM, the engine don`t get anough fuel (I think) Any solutions?

(please excuse my bad english... )

Wink

Two of these are air related so could be air problem.
But check throttle position sensor as this shows up on most poor running
problems.

Try clearing the fault codes and give the car a run and check fault codes
again to see if any have returned.

Thumbs up

It should light up after about 5 seconds after releasing the buttton.
Hold button down for about 10 seconds max, make sure ignition is on.
Keep trying it will work.
