Default 440 Immobiliser Problems

Iam having problems with my 1996 Volvo 440. The batteries died on my remote key fob. I replaced them and was not able to open the doors with the remote and turnoff the immobiliser. Any ideas ??

Hi Sheffvolvo
Pop the key fob open and take the batteries out. Push the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together and hold for 5 seconds. Refit the batteries and go out to your car and push unlock and see what happens. If your key fob stops working always try resetting the fob using this method before renewing the batteries. Bye.

Kind regards
