1986 Volvo 360 GLE Injection Special Equipment
For Sale 1986 Volvo 360 GLE Injection Special Equipment (very rare car) £4000. Selling as I don’t have space for three Volvos and this one gets used the least.
Drives and handles well, a fun car to own and drive, very practical with the massive boot. MOT until 2nd Feb 2022 passed with no advisories I have owned the 360 since September 2012, in that time it has had: Both inner sills welded Both outer sills replaced with NOS Both rear wheel arches welded Welding behind rear numberplate panel NOS rear numberplate panel welded in Boot catch area welded Both front inner arches fabricated from scratch NOS O/S wing professionally painted N/S wing repaired Front valence welded Chassis welded Entire underside coated with waxoyl All sills, seams and cavities given a thick coating of Dinitrol cavity wax so it shouldn't rust again any time soon Gearbox oil changed for correct ATF type A (not the red dexron stuff) New Delphi rear dampers New rear brake shoes, springs, wheel cylinders and drums with the backing plates fully sanded down and painted with VHT black paint New fog light housing seals Underfloor filter changed for Baldwin metal canister (original ones NLA) Engine bay filter changed for genuine Volvo one Underfloor fuel pump charged for genuine Bosch New 4" speakers front and rear, I can't remember the brand but they were a decent brand, pioneer, kenwood something like that. Specs: Circa 65k miles (clocks changed for NOS around 40k miles now showing 23k) Completely standard suspension 15x7 ET28 ATS Cups painted black lips and bronze centres with rare early style ‘V' centre caps 195/50R15 Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE002 tyres (done less than 500 miles) they make the grip unbelievable Rare optional extra ambient air temp and economy gauges. Very rare centre console gauge panel with Volvo volt meter and oil pressure gauges Factory fitted A/C (needs converting to R134a) Factory fitted air recirculation Hella grille (the style without the Volvo badge so much better looking) 80's Volvo/Heko front wind deflectors (not fitted as needs the clips) Black snow trays in good condition Original black leather interior with matching leather specific door cards Working lumbar support on both front seats! No sunroof so no leaks or breakages in the future Fan works on all speeds! Needs to be run on 97/98 octane Issues: Intermittent wipers don’t work Suspension noise coming from front end, I suspect the ARB droplinks Rear arches painted but colour doesn’t match well Volvo badge, side trim and coach lines missing from O/S wing Scratches and dents here and there (it is 35 years old) Spider rust on bottom half of doors Blow on exhaust where back box slips over the centre section Speedo needle bounces up and down but gets steadier the faster you go so it is only moving a bit at 30mph. Cambelt is due £4000 car is located in Worcester 20210419_191739 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20210205_192058 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20210203-WA0013 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20210203-WA0011 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20210203-WA0009 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20210203-WA0007 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE IMG-20210203-WA0005 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20200601_181629 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20200601_181752 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 2021-01-13_07-35-12 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 1986 Volvo 360 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 1986 Volvo 360 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE There is more information about the car here, starting from about 6 years ago https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=221502 Last edited by 360beast; May 18th, 2021 at 19:16. |

Rear suspension noise. Have you checked the jacking points haven’t shifted and are fouling the leaf spring? Happened on ours, nasty squeaks and bangs when turning sharply.
Looks nice. Hope you get a good price

Ah, I see. In which case you need to get a screw jack, bend the rear jacking points in a bit then you’ll have that too. 😁
