Just for the record, you should refer to the side of the car in relation to sitting in it. So in the UK cars are RHD so the driver's side is the right side and the passenger side is the left side. The bonnet switch is on the
right bonnet release catch. If we all use the same protocol there will be no doubt or misinterpretation.
