Default Oil level

Hi all

I have a 2013 V40 D3 I tried to check the oil level and even when the engine is cold the oil check is greyed out just wondering if this is normal.

you need to check it with the engine switched off, but ignition on.

to put on ignition only, press start button but with foot off brake.

Yes tried all that but its still greyed out thats the reason i asked this question i thought i might be missing something

the electronic oil level check should work if done as above.

unless you have a dipstick on your model ?

what does it say in the manual for your car ?

If i sit in mine, put key in slot,don't press any pedals.
Hold in start button for quite few seconds, until all dash lights remain illuminated and beeps/dings.
Scroll along and oil level should be white not grey.
Assuming car is sitting on level ground and has been stationary for a while.
If this don't work for you, it could be a fault.

As above, hold start for about 5 seconds, your running lights will come on when ignition is on.

yeah seen a video of this but the lights on dash went out before i scroled down to oil level so ill give it a try again.
