I think any Amazon looks good anywhere ;-) but a track action shot must be up there. Looks good, Robert!

Yeah, a lot of these Duetts met that fate. To explain: this is a very Swedish fenomenom. After the war the need for farm equippment exceeded supplies so the then generous Swedish government allowed farmers to cut down a car with a frame and make it in to a traktor.

They had the wheel base altered (I recall 2.5 meters) and rear axle bolted to the frame and only firts and second gear could be used.

First a lot of T Fords and model A cars were used but since the Duetts were frame based they were used i great numbers. Farm tractors could be driven at 16 years of age without a license and you could not drive a car until 18 so a lot of kids discovered that they can be used for transportation, myself included.

When it was 20 C below and my competition had mopeds, who do you think got all the girls?
Haha! Still quite common on the roads here with the kids..

Fitted the studded tyres today with original tyre size 165/80-15 on standard steel wheels and went for a spin..big difference in handling between these and the 5.5 kpz's with 185/65-15 tyres,,softer ride but after doing a quick slalom from side to side in comparison feels like a boat now...so have to change how i drive..the summer set up with low profile tyres is much better for active driving

Anyway..we're ready for winter ...piccy taken at the local 60's diner and petrol station ....

Why does the damp and cold in Sweden look so much more appealing than an English November?
