Default Xc40 t3

Hi,

New member here, from sunny Portugal

I am on the market for a petrol engine XC40 T3.

I understand Volvo is having problems coupling this engine to the automatic transmissions.

That and the fact that this is an all-new engine specially geared at the future hybrid version, where it will be combined with the electric drive has made me wary about the whole proposal, even if I am thinking of getting the manual gearbox version.

As it stands, here in Portugal, there will be no units to test-drive before the end of June, at the best.

If any you gets to drive a XC T3 before that would you be so kind as to post your impressions here?

Thank you.

WV

Hi and Welcome,

As far as I'm aware the earliest that we in the UK (and likely anywhere else) are seeing non-first edition vehicles is around the June/July time. As far as I'm aware this isn't down to any kind of production issues, although I can confirm we don't have an Automatic variant available in the UK either....

Kind Regards,

Marc

It means XC as in the Cross Country variant of the V40. This section was created long before Volvo even thought of the XC40.

I'm in the UK and I placed an order for the XC40 T3 a few days ago. My dealer reassured me that I could test drive one as soon as one became available and if I wasn't pleased with it then I could back out of the deal no questions asked because they will have no problem at all in selling one which I don't doubt.
I'm pretty sure that I will like it anyway, and if I do my estimated delivery date is early October as it stands.

So if not here then in which sub-forum should it go?

When the car comes out, I guess they'll be a new 2018> XC40 page opened.

Until then, this is probably the nearest page you'll get to it.

"When the car comes out"????

I think you may be a little behind the curve. :-)

It's been out there for about a month now. Deliveries to owners have been happening since early/mid March. I've had mine for a few weeks now. [It's great so far, but shame it doesn't have a home here where we can talk about it].
