Default Tiny plastic roof end stopper thingy

I have a Phase 1 V40. Without roof rails, so I'm just talking about those sort of flat rail-like things whose name I do not know that all V40s have, that sit almost flush with the roof and into which you attach your lovely rails if you have them or other roof rack thingies.

Now: at the back end of these flat things there are little grey plastic end pieces that tidy up the appearance, a bit like the plastic stoppers you can shove into the ends of your bicycle handlebars, if you see what I mean.

And... my car is missing the one from the right-hand side. I know it's a tiny insignificant thing that probably no one else notices, but it bothers me - you know how it is - so if anyone happened to have one or know where to obtain one I'd be delighted. (I have been told - not sure whether authoritatively - that Volvo do not sell the part separately, and that to get a new one I would have to buy the whole rail thingy for some horrible price that puts it beyond reach.)

Thanks

David

Oh, wonderful news. So I was misinformed. Very many thanks for the advice. Will contact Rufe as advised.

I have two from an S40. I am not sure if they are the same or not, but if you have no luck with Rufe, let me know.

Cheers but I have just checked email and Rufe can indeed supply the bit I want so I'll be ordering from him in the morning. I'm pretty sure the S40 end pieces are different anyway - just took a peek at my neighbour's S40 to check.

Thanks again to you both for the advice and help.

Oh and by the way I now know (thanks to Rufe) what it's really called!!

It's the "End Piece for the RH roof drip moulding".

No more excuses for hopeless rambling descriptions like mine in future. This forum is truly an education.
