Regrettably for sale is my 97 2,3 turbo manual M90 gearbox.
175k full history. fresh 1 yr MOT
mods so far are...
MBc and guage, Pipercross panel filter and airbox mod (around 180bhp)
ipd ANTI ROLL BAR KIT (£500)
BC BR series coilovers (£800)
upper and lower strut braces
Retroturbo panhard rod
FULLY polybushed with Retroturbo bushes
YOSHIFAB subframe strengthening kit fitted
GRIPPER L.S.D !! (£1000)
17" Lenso Eagle powdered silver and wrapped in 225/45/17 Toyo T1-R (£1000) on 20mm hubcentric spacers and Volvo centre caps
POWERFLOW custom 3" system with decat (£700)
MOMO F1 Benetton steering wheel

The paintwork is original and mint metaliic Aubergine with a couple of minor defects, no dents. will take some better pics very shortly. Alot of money has gone into this as you can see,i have not included the huge labour bills i have incurred i also have many go faster bits which can be purchased seperately including 15g turbo, injectors, 960 AFM, Do88 intercooler. big brembo brakes etc etc etc , would love to see someone complete this to its full potential. i want £4000 firm for the car as it is, it is the PERFECT base for a serious performance project.all the hard work is done...any sensible questions just ask

That's a lot of lolly for a 940! I do like that colour though.

i figured the car was worth 2k in today's money....although i have seen similar cars going for nearer 3k stock and being as it has wey more than £4k in mods was worth the extra 2k to someone if they were thinking of buying one and tuning it?? i could be wrong! i know i am biased but it really is one of the nicest i have seen, the condition belies the mileage and it really is a headturner for the right reasons!
i don't expect to get all my money back but i didn't think i was being greedy,,,how many other 940's are there with a proper LSD fitted? all the parts are virtually new too....I have probably limited my market a little though i admit! Oh, and yea the colour is the bollocks, one of the best they made imo, and the paintwork is virtually immaculate as the forthcoming pics will show...

I think the only way you’re gonna get anywhere near your money back would be to put back to standard.

You’ve got some tasty mods and have certainly gone about it the right way with sorting the handling out first BUT whoever buys this is gonna want more power so there’s £700 in the TTV single mass and 850 clutch straight away, plus the bigger turbo, maf etc which makes it a pretty expensive 940.

I was the same with mine - 150k miles, TTV flywheel and clutch, custom Banded steelies, custom spacers, 3 inch exhaust, 18t turbo, 960 maf, mint body work, Gaz shocks all round - ended up getting £2300 for it and that was a struggle!

As i said...if someone wants to remove them and refit standard ones they are welcome to them..i have incurred enough labour bills already....
same for the exhaust, i just have nowhere to work on the car

Gotta bare in mind getting power from these is the easy/cheaper bit, hence why there are so many milling about with 250-300bhp+ but are are running around on cut springs and open diffs.

You could buy a 'fast' one and spend well into 3K getting the chassis to this spec. I think the price is pretty reasonable to be honest.

I've seen this car a few times in person and it really is a nice example, new owner wont be disappointed.
