Sounds like Vida is working fine to me and the issue is either your car or the Dice.

Test your Dice and Vida on another suitable Volvo to confirm.

Had problems with mine and after loads of software checks I actually found a hardware issue in the DICE.

Once again thank you for your reply.
Vida is working fine. When i test the dice on Vida all tests are ok.
I haven't tried in another Volvo , there isn't any around ( well there is one from 1992 it doesn't have a obd port)

I have go through all the fuses to see if it could be from the obd port tomorrow i will have a friend with an OBD reader to see if it can read the car....if not maybe is the port....

If it is the port , i really dont know what is going on. I haven't used vida for maybe 2 months nothing was done to the car electric talking. I dont even know how to start ( maybe find another Volvo).

This morning i was able to check with another volvo.
The same happen, same message. But related to mine there was a difference. The last led the orange was blinking when i plug to the obd port, thing that doesn't happen on mine.

So it is the Dice? All the tests to the dice are ok?!!!
I have open the case and nothing is loose or burned or missing solder......

I dont know if its important but this is a new vida that is pre installed on a VMware workstation. it works good but could it be there is some missing configuration? or software?

Any ideas?

What was the Volvo model and model year of the other car?

Is Dice appearing as a Dice in devices and printers?

Yes it does as DICE then a number. But with a category of unspecified.

If your Dice has not worked on this software I would be tempted to look at this first.

Can you try it on the old software as a check?

Sorry for late reply.
I cant test it, one of the reasons i got a new vida was because the old one expired...even aplly the patch , or editing the file and changing the date wouldn't work .
And if i try t install it the software saw VIDA not ok and another file not ok thats why i bought a new Vida.......

Today i have installed the old vida on the old laptop on W7 32 bit and everything worked fine, software and Dice. ufffff.

Now what could be missing on the Virtual machine one? Has to be some driver for the dice???
