C30 1.6 diesel issues

Hi all, can anyone give any advice on a c30 1.6 diesel 60 plate, I have recentl changed the heater plugs 2 weeks ago and has driven much better since however this morning after starting and driving for about 5 minutes the cooling fan comes on and stays on for about 10 minutes after I turn the engine off, temp gage is fine, no overheating, also this morning while the engine was idling at lights it sounded and felt like it was about to cut out, it did exactly the same thing tonight on my way home from work, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

When was it last serviced? Fuel filter changed recently?

Any lights on the dash?

I'm near to Middlesbrough if you want a Vida check.
