Default XC60 and dog

I've got a boxer and the XC60 is perfect for him. He's a big fella but has plenty of room. Rather than the metal grill I use the mesh grill. I use both the soft vinyl rear insert protector and the hard plastic tray. You can lower the vinyl flap when he's jumping up into the rear so he doesn't scratch the bumper. The two inserts keep the rear clean even after he goes for a swim. The other advantage of the car is it has air vents back there so that in heat, he gets plenty of fresh air. It all works really well.

It looks good. Was it easy to install? I'm about to order, are you happy with it?

Default Bumper protectors

Hi. Newbie here - just bought an XC60 (picking it up on Thursday) so am doing lots of investigating of stuff - and this forum seems to have tons of useful answers.

Does anyone know if you can get a clear adhesive bumper protector/foil for the XC60?

I have a dog (spaniel) so have bought a boot liner to protect the interior (and the bars to stop him jumping through to the main part of the car). In my old car, the boor liner came with a flap which folded down to protect the bumper from the dog's claws - in practice, we found it a bit of a pain to fold down every time so never used it. However, when we were looking at a new car, one of the cars which made the shortlist was a Ford Grand CMax and Ford do this. Does anyone know if you can get something similar for the XC60? (My Volvo dealer is a little vague about things like this.)

Thanks!

That really looks like a great solution for the dogs. I did come across this product at http://www.invisiblepatterns.co.uk/b...tion-film.html however I'm really not sure if they have a specific cut out for the xc60. I'll be picking up my XC60 this Wednesday and have gotten the grille and full protection guard (also comes with a flap for the bumper). Can't say much yet as I've yet to try it myself though,...

Thanks. I had come across that one as well - as you say, it seems to be generic rather than XC60 specific so I don't know how good it would be at following the shape of the bumper. It does strike me a good, practical solution (presumably when it gets shabby, you can just peel it off and put a new one in place).
