Angry Abs module fault. Any help appreciated

A few weeks ago when breaking at low speed my 2006 Volvo s40 would lock up slightly but no abs light would come on so I took it to a garage and after 2 days the told me there was no fault but I got to the end of the street and the same thing happend. I then got a diagnostic done and it says its the brake control mudule.. Has anyone else had this probem with no warning lights coming on? And could anyone recommend a refurb company in the UK. Thanks in advance for any answers.
