If it's been stored in a garage and it's nice and dry in there I'd put new fuel in it and try to start it, although I wouldn't leave it running for too long if it did start till I'd serviced it

Omg, I have no welding skills or practice whatsoever, I think I will need to in the future with 460 supplies being somewhat limited...this might be the practice car, hopefully its not in terrible shape

Just a quick update, the owner hasnt called me about seeing the car or any details I guess it was a slight blessing as iv bern stuck on the m25 untill recently lol.

Might prod him tomorrow and see whats up.

Nope, just waiting on terry to call me and arrange a time. Last time I spokebto him he justbsaid hebwould call.. I guess he needed tobsort out his fathers funeral etc, so will give him a bit of time.

Hi mate.
I have an 83 GLS and it pulls like a train. Brilliant engine.
If you do buy it , i would get the water pump and timeing
belt done just to be safe.

The tops of the doors at the bottom of the windows is a good guide to gen cond if rotted walk away.

I would normally agree with you there Rick but mine are perfect yet the inner arches and sills are rotten on mine.
