With all due respect to the seller here, who admits to never having this OD on a car, and also that it doesn't come with the cast iron adaptor that couples it to the M41 but has an alloy one, its possible that this isn't a Volvo D type. The reference number on the plate doesn't match any of the following codes that I have listed for Volvo models. My list does have 4 figure numbers to this ones 5and there could well be other numbers for "our" Volvo models. To save any tears it would be a good idea to check this code, 32/63342, with one of the OD specialists, e.g. Overdrive Spares. Numbers I have here, but as said there may be more.
32/3051 Volvo P 1800 32/3302 Volvo 122 S 32/3324 Volvo 122 S 32/3325 Volvo P 1800 32/3328 Volvo 122 S 32/3363 Volvo P 1800 32/63343 Volvo 123GT This number, 32/63342, in 4 or 5 digit form doesn't appear for any makes/models of cars on my list which was found on the web and sure to be incomplete. This information is just that, information AFAIK it, and not meant to put you off buying the unit. |

This does really bug me!, with due respect I personally removed it from a 1965 P1800S which had so much rot it broke its back.
Im selling as I later bought a 1970 model which has the F type. Ive attached photos of the gearbox it was bolted too which had Volvo stamped all over it as well as the bell housing which is also for sale. Ive used the gears from the box on my current P1800 so that's why it isn't for sale but the output shaft is included with the overdrive if required. Please ignore Derek UK. Regards Kevin Strong |

Kevin. I'm more than happy to retract my comments about the OD. I did say that I wasn't sure and that it was worth checking out. I appreciate your clarification. I'll add this number to my list.
Good luck with the sale and I hope the buyer is pleased with his purchase. |

Hi Ya
if that was me i would sell the whole lot together least you know you have the parts needed and with a good m40 you could make a fully working m41 i would never ever ever brake a m41 to fix a m41 you may aswell have just switched the gearboxes around in the first place and had less hassle stripping both . please bare in mind derek uk is a very good standing member fully respected around these parts i have met him and totally respect him so i can honestly say he ment the info in good faith to make others aware just incase it could have been a issue , he would never just say a comment just to have a pop if you met him you would agree im sure but then if you was in this section a liitle more you would see all his wonderfully helpul comments to array of questions .... kind regards robert

I had a look on the eBay site. I'm interested in the OD unit with the output shaft included to redo my m40 to a m41. A big problem may be shipping to Canada. Are you willing to find an estimated shipping cost to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada? As importantly, would you ship?
Pete

Ive been a VOC paid member for over 25 years and also well known, long family history with Volvos in Hampshire police, ive restored 145's (which stared on TV good life documentary), P1800 and even started the trend in turbo 360's to which ive helped many VOC member's build there own as well as building 240 turbos.
I'm an engineer so if I have 2 faulty boxes and make 1 good out of 2 at no cost then I see nothing wrong, that's engineering. I posted this good overdrive very cheap so someone could get a bargain and possibly get them out of a hole if theres has failed, otherwise it will get scrapped. If I wanted a discussion (other than selling) then I would have posted in general discussion and not sales. Pete, no problem ill weight it all up and find the cost to ship to Canada and let you know. cheers Kev strong |
