Default Wiper Catching Bonnet

Had a look around the T4 (99) i just got, one job to do is sort the drivers side wiper which sits high and catches the bonnet if opened. Ive removed the wiper arm while i work on the car. Had a quick look and the wiper spindle seems a bit loose. Access wise is this from under the plasic under the windscreen, and has anyone had this problem before.

Common problem, I replaced the assembly under the plastic cover. The spindle bearings seem to deteriorate causing a bit of movement.
Also, bear in mind the arms are sided.
