Just as he was about to change lane caught sight of car approaching in mirror and held position and put signal off.

Police pulled along side him in an unmarked car put lights on and told him to pull over (only one police officer). Tried to do him for dangerous driving and was going for it!!
He asked to see the Video (his old man is a Sargent in the police and he knows the score) the traffic officer was doing 120mph with no lights on and got the fright of his life as you would.
When he was challenged where he was going etc. or why so fast he told him to be more careful and "get out the FKN car".

Anyway my advice at road works is always do the speed limit, to much of a hot spot to get done! At other times I use the mine sweeper technic on the motorway and to date hasn't let me down but I never intentionally go over 85 anyway.
and it is actions like this that give the police a bad name and press. And they wonder why.

I admit the one I got pulled over by was a little "aggressive" should I say.
