G/box: 850 Auto: - Lost drive

Bugger! Driving home tonight with a heavy trailer behind, pulled off the dual carriageway, up to the tee junction, pulling away with full right hand lock and lost all drive. I have been hearing a slight knocking from the CV but it didn't sound too bad.........obviously it was! Oh well well see what the damage is in the morning? Boo hoo.

Can you hear / see the drive axles turning? I have had a C/V joint go so bad that it shot out the balls and wouldn't drive.

Im guessing thats whats happened Oly. I just hope theres no other damage! Typically I need it back on the road urgently so will find out how much damage there is and ring around for parts in the morning.......(well thats the plan!) I suppose the heavy trailer help find the weak point.

93d88605 the numbers are off the plate on top if you need shaft...let me know ive poped a drive shaft on a xr4x4i (but was mid way into a doughnut) lost all drive simple fix........

All fixed and back on the road by 11am this morning. New CV delivered to my workshop and all was straightforward, nothing alse damaged. Well chuffed.
