morning both
I bought my 240 just over 2 years ago - both door pockets were cracked etc etc. In another hobby of mine, I use solvents and solder and all that sort of thing. So I repaired the pockets. Several times. I don't know what plastic it is, but time/light/hot-cold cycles clearly affect it's stability adversely as the repairs that I did would work only for the danged thing to break somewhere else... ...I bought new pockets from Swedishautolamps for less and they were kindly collected for me from the States so I didn't pay postage and that made the replacements worthwhile (£50 a pair I recall). I also had to do the handbrake console at the same time. The new pockets seem to be slightly more flexible and so resist being closed on your foot better than the original ones I had put a post on the forum to see what interest there might be getting a batch made in this country, and whilst we were about it, new floor mats too. No takers unfortunately Nick |
