ride height, up not down
I want another inch for the winter as will be in the alps.
Every time it is mentioned to increase the ride height everyone suggest changing complete suspension setups etc but when lowering an inch this seems more acceptable? BTW has anyone done it? Does anyone know what are the longest springs available ? as there are several available. Also not changing to XC as i like my car and want to keep it. I can get a little by fitting bigger tyres. |

My v70 D5 front end is on B4s and Lesjöfors springs 22388551 and have raised ride height between 1-2cms I'd say.
The rear springs are waiting to get changed when I'm changing to winter tires but Lesjöfors has two kinds for V70 standard rears, regular 24413851 and heavy duty 24385251 for heavy loads and caravan pulling. Some people hate the look of it but I carry whole band gear + people and would sometimes scratch the belly or tail so I'm all about practicality. The car on B4s (and in general) is really great to drive long higway runs, feels very safe.

Awesome, thanks Marvin. I need practicality too.

I actually can't tell Lesjöfors vs Sachs or other springs ride height because:
1) My old springs and struts were tired and had sag, so it's not new to new comparison. 2) Bilstein B4s are said to have a tad more lift (rod push) than regular dampers which contributes to the additional lift So if your question was which springs alone make the car sit higher then I don't know the answer. The Lesjöfors HD rears are a bit shorter springs to compensate for stiffer spring rate (which is made less linear than standard to have standard softness when unloaded).
