Default What number plate supplier to buy physical plates and badge?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for an online supplier of number plates.

I will be needing 3 (car + trailer) and halfords is from experience, expensive and slow and would also prefer not to trawl around shops in the current climate!

Also I usually have the EU flag on it, for france caravan trips, but not sure after 31st December if this will 'count' as we will not be in the EU.

Thanks

Glyn

Been a while but sure I used an online order from "number1plates" their website was easy to navigate etc.

Be prepared though to have to email a scanned copy of the V5 and some ID of your own - ordering number plates has to be lawful etc.

Not sure you'd want a GB badge on your car when travelling - they might not like you

Sure I read last year there's a new 'Emissions' identifier you must display on the Vehicle in Europe?

I have used platesforcars.co.uk for many years. Good prices, good plates and next day delivery.

They are based in Dublin so no messing with V5 etc and you specify the exact plate you require - UK road legal.

Remember reading in one of the daily papers a few weeks back that the EU flag on your plates won't be allowed on the continent. You have to display a GB sticker. They might not like us, but they still like our money.

This wediste explains all about the emissions ticker and where you apply. It's only certain cities that are affected that I know of. Its cheap anyway.

Well, i used Plates For cars (mainly as they dont ask for documents) but plates came quite quick via DPD and quality is good and well packaged.

With the Postage cost it was close to just buying them from Halfords, but adding in the mounting kit (screws, caps and stickers for £5) and also a surround (for the rear) it was cheaper as the odds were half the cost of halfords which offset the postage

They have the small legal stuff on the bottom right that plates need and well, are number plates.

Also the online transfer to the car was painless, saves needing to sit in a sweaty room with documents like the old days!
