Strange clicking noise fom window buttons

2002 V70 petrol model just purchased. There's a strange clicking noise coming from under the electric window switches on drivers door. A click every second or two and just audible with engine running. The right switch is operating the left window and vice versa. What on earth is going on in there?

That's strange indeed. I do have similar clicks but buttons work as expected. Could it be water go to the module and corroded it a bit ? I happens when opening the door in heavy rains

I recently hand a continuous clicking coming from within the door card. It was cured with a replacement door module, there is quite a bit of info on here about it. Could it be that you have a problem with yours?

Thanks but what's a door module? Is it the whole outfit including all buttons and switches on the door?
