Ignition barrel and drivers lock replacement
Hi guys
Me again, asking for help and advice again. A pattern is emerging..... So I bought the car knowing that the previous owner used a screwdriver to start it, apparently the barrel seized so the garage drilled it out. Any way on collecting the car the chap I bought it from was very embarrassed to tell me that he had just snapped the key in the drivers door lock. He had been driving around starting it with a screwdriver for 5 heard and I have been doing it for the last 3 months. It’s no big deal but recently I have bought a spare ignition lock and barrel and drivers door barrel with key, so I would like to get it all up and working Is this fairly straight forward? Anything to look out for? Cherry in advance Dan |

I have sorted this.
Got all the old broken stuff removed and replaced with the used unit I got hold off, working ignition with a key at last. Mine is the later ignition lock and barrel the slides/pressed on the column, it’s a bit of a ball ache but might do a how to on it at some point. If anyone needs any advice in the meantime let me know. Cheers |
