Thanks all for the replies to my original post.

Just got one further question now I'm ready to change the discs.

Some sizes are quoted at 285mm dia, some at 300mm dia and some at 320mm dia.
Without taking the wheel off and measuring how can I ensure I get the correct size or do they all fit. I'm going for PAGID discs and pads.

Car is 2006, V70 D5 AWD. Reg is SD06 UBP.

Any ideas???

286 vs 305, 305 have a wide groove around the bell with visible fins, the 286 have a narrow slot with nothing visible.
Pad choice, you want the pads with 2 dimples on outer pad (if this is what you see through wheel) not spring clips on all pads. If your caliper is huge then you have bigger than 305mm.
See pics, caliper difference, and 286/305 pads in caliper with dimples, 286 and 305 discs with differences as described above.
No substitute for measuring though, only buy without measuring at yer own risk! As above though there are identifying differences.

So checked part No on the disc which I could just see through the wheel. Its 9492715 so looks like 305mm discs.
Pads do have the retaining clip as per photo

Yep you have 305 and the std caliper using '2 dimple' pads 👍 you can see the fins around the disc centre.

I got these from PartsForVolvos for my car a while back (although I needed 286mm), not had any issues after @ 2000 miles.
