Tank sender ring tool
Hi all
I'm needing to get to the in-tank fuel sender, and although it's possible without the special 200-series-only tool, it'd be great to be able to use one. Has anybody got one of these which they could either lend or hire to me, whether that's a proper Volvo one or one they've made made themselves for this job. https://www.ipdusa.com/uploads/image...lsize_8072.jpg https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/Ima...s/TankTool.jpg Please PM me if you can help. Much appreciated, John |

I've always just used a long screwdriver or pry bar braced against a bit of wood of a suitable length against the edge of the floor.
Hitting it with a chisel is not recommended as it risks damaging the probably fragile pipes and shakes lots of rust into the tank. |

Probably way too late for you, but if anyone needs to borrow one, I made a hefty tool from steel for just this job as mine was reluctant to budge using all other methods. Looks a bit different to those pics but worked a treat.
