Its also worth noting that in another thread you posted, you thought the VAG two year/20k service interval was better than Volvo's 1 year/18k. Now you're talking about the cost of changing the ATF in a prestige car... It sounds to me like you purchased a prestige car & are now talking about the costs of running it. My suggestion would be do your research better in future before buying a car. This isn't implied in a rude way, I'm just stating the obvious.

One thing I do know is those DSG gearboxes that VAG products have are expensive when they go wrong. So labour costs for fluid changes at an Audi dealership could well be cheaper than what Volvo charge, but the DSG gearbox itself (if it needs repairs) is usually extortionate (dearer than Volvo). No prestige car is cheap to run. Prices fluctuate between manufacturer's, so a job that's cheaper on an Audi could be dearer on a Volvo. What's dearer on an Audi could be cheaper on a Volvo. Its swings & roundabouts as they say.

Adrian88,
Slightly different car I know but my D4 S60 was done 2 weeks ago for £410 at Holden Volvo plus they did the 3 outstanding recalls but it really transformed the car (even though they say sealed for life which I think is ridiculous) |

My favourite garage is RM Motors in Batley. I'd recommend asking them for a price.

I will look up the indy suggestions, thanks. Have had 2 VAG cars with DSG and both sold at 120k miles without any problems. Regular fluid change every 40k miles and both used for towing a caravan. Having had well over 50 different cars in 40 years, mostly VAG products (and a few Citroens to test my patience) this is my first Volvo and am not overly impressed. Poor dealer experience (downright liers), car has had and still appears to have numerous electrical glitches/faults, panel gaps and fit and finish not as good as my wife’s new SEAT, numb steering/handling and wooden brakes, poor low speed ride quality. Love the hybrid set up, excellent economy, impressive performance/acceleration, fine towing ability, the bells and whistle count and the seats are easily as good as a couple of SAAB’s i once had. But it simply doesnt make me want to drive it in the way so many cars i have owned have and my wifes Seat does.
