There seems to be an inability from any company I've ever worked at which interfaces with the public to have a decent line of communication. It doesn't have to necessarily be two-way like a forum (once you set a precedent that you answer people's questions then everyone will expect their post to be responded to as well). They clearly have this mechanism for service downtime, as highlighted in another thread for the Volvo apps that have been down for the last few days, so it would be nice to see a list of known issues that are under review. It would probably save a lot of forum posts!
Absolutely agree, this would give us all so much more confidence that an issue is recognised and will hopefully be fixed in time. But then in another breath, I think this is like Volvo publicly advertising issues with their vehicles, which I know is being done on the forums anyway, but to a narrower audience. Perhaps they could add a log of all known issues to the My Volvo website, accessible only to owners of the vehicle to which the issue relates.

I think the other difficulty is that Volvo have launched a completely new platform into a mature market and brand. BMW's iDrive and Audi's MMI have been around in their current guise for several years now, and although they have advanced, the underlying system have not change and hence have had time to mature. I do have confidence that Volvo's Sensus will be pretty stable in a year or two.
