I got some at Morrisons Boroughbridge this week, and I'm sure 'twas more than 70p.

I did get my £5 voucher though!

By the way, had to get my usual miser's drop of petrol this week. £1.429 at BP. So I grumbled about it to the cashier - who agreed that it was a rip off!

Southampton still leading the Rip off fuel prices - Southampton BP £0.79 ... Less than 2 miles away Lima Autogas is £0.67 !!

My last petrol was 1.299 - some time ago. Petrol last longer now it is warmer outside! Those in our club know why!

In Hastings, the ONLY LPG place has it for 84p- Thanks BP.

However, 20 miles down the road in Eastbourne, its between 75-78ppl.

Time to get yourself an LPG boiler in the garage, and 1000/2000 litre LPG tank in the garden. Fill up when you want then (and of course pay the increased duty to the chancellor, because although he cant check, were honest folk.....).

Was travelling down A19 this afternoon, 77.9p/litre at services between Sunderland and Hartlepool. Thievin' Geordies! No thanks thunked I! And am I glad I did so thunk!

I actually paid 67.9p per litre at the Jet garage near Thirsk on the A19. Plus they now have a loyalty card scheme. Provided you buy at least 30 litres, you get a 2p/litre discount next time you buy there, a 3p/litre discount the time after, right the way up to 10p/litre discount for the tenth visit.

Currently doing 28mpg on LPG, that meant my fuel cost today was just 11p per mile. That's the cost equivalent of between 55 and 60mpg on petrol or diseasal. In a 15-year old quarter-million-mile 2.5 litre V70 auto!

I'm thinking of spending the next few days driving up and down the A19 just to end up paying 57.9p/litre!

Looks like things could be looking up!

PS for all you 'dahn sarf' - why not book your holiday this year in God's own beautiful county of Yorkshire? At least tha'll know that t'chips and t'beer'll be good, and t'journey 'ome will be cheaper!
