My Mercedes has the same, you reset it after changes to tyre pressure or wheel changes and it re calibrates itself.

I should have read the V90 manual, regarding the TPMS.
Which I have now done.

Is it the same simpler system on the new V90?

Yes.
I recently had a V40 on loan and it had the old TPMS, which was a right pain.
Kept coming into alarm and had to recalibrate it several times.

My V60 does not have TPMS and hopefully this new system will be better than the V40.

Yes I have had a few false alarms on the Merc.
I think I am glad they have changed it to the simpler system, but I have no experience of a system that monitors individual pressures.

My tire shop asks 250€ for a set of 4 sensors. I don't know the Volvo price.

Not that I wish it upon you Tem, far from it, but I generally wait for delivery to give the dealer a chance to **** it up, which invariably they do, had lots of free and heavily discounted accessories, more than I care to name.

I have used these guys a few times: http://www.volvopartshop.com/

Regarding winter wheels/tyres I discovered Volvo do packages for £1580 (maybe still last winters price). I saw the same add on a few sites, here is one example: http://www.swedishcaraccessories.co....15--1144-p.asp. I asked my dealer about the wheels three weeks ago and still awaiting the promised email.

Or you can buy after-market wheels/tyres. Tyremen are about £1100.

Thanks for that, much more reasonable if I did decide to use that option with winter tyres.
