What sort of mileage is normal?
Just had my tyres check and surprise 4 replacements needed. When I drove company Astra's I would regularly exceed 20,000miles on a set but disappointedly my 2009 V70 d5 auto which had 245/45/17, Michelin Primacy HP on the front: just over 17,000 and Gt Champ on the back just over 19,000 both have the reminder rubber showing.
I'm a sedate driver never remember skidding or running with the wrong pressures etc, smooth in fact no boy racer! Is it the speed bumps? Anyone with a similar car? I'd love to know what you can get mileage wise . Thanks in advance. |

Not unusual for the low profile tyres you have.
On the XC models with higher profile (60) 40k is normal for a set of good tyres. Obviously the tyre compounds are a big factor - E.g. a hard tyre like Continental EcoContact is going to last longer than Sport Contact etc.

Clearly a hard tyre optimised for long life and economy. Neither of which where my priority....
