Question Testing New Engine Mount Vacuum

Hi everyone,
I have done vacuum tests on my system (D5 Euro 4.) and found rear mount leaking like a sieve. As a result purchased a new mount of ebay.

Shiny new mount has arrived so before installation have tested it and it holds a rock steady 280mmHg (about 11"HG) anything above that you can hear it venting / letting in air internally.

Is this normal? When testing system on car vacuum pump pulls gauge to near 30"Hg so will it just leak or once installed does the weight of the engine help with the seal.

Any expereince anyone?

When I test them prior to fitting, they all comfortably hold over 15 in/hg.
What brand have you bought?

Default Wrong Part!

Found the problem, it was a non hyro bearing version ( ie not vacuum) although the OEM numbers all match - I suppose that means its the correct shape.
Had no idea even made them.
As a result upgrading to a Lemforder as seem a better brand. Hopefully problem solved.

Corteco and Meyle are the same as genuine Volvo.
They've just got "Volvo" scrubbed off.

That's a very interesting thing that I have recently found out and maybe should be pinned somewhere for other people who have to do their mounts? Would save us newbies buying the crap to start with. 👍
