OK.....the deed is done.

Ordered today (well...the form filling has started) on a MY19 D4 Momentum Pro Automatic in denim blue with blonde interior and bedecked with heated rear seats, rear park assist camera and a tempa spare on a 4 year lease.

Just couldn't justify the xenium pack on PCH in the end (especially when you have to add BLIS), so am hoping the blond interior will help lift the interior (for free).

This will be a number of firsts for me...never having had an automatic, nor a light interior before, nor indeed a HUD (will I feel like a fighter pilot??).

As for HUD, I am currently on my third car with this and TBH, would tick the option for it any day! Since having it I hardly ever look at the main dials as its so good. Had a few rentals with this as well and miss it in the cars that doesnt have it.

Wife think otherwise and have the heated windscreen instead but saying that, she’s got trapped nerves in neck and shoulders so winter driving for her is a bit easier.....

Ive test driven the t8 XC60 and like it a lot.
The sound system supplied as standard was very average, then I test drove the same car with the Bowers and Wilkins sound system, WOW what a difference.
I also like the way it looks with the tweeter on dash.
Now does anyone know whether the new Harman Kardon system has a speaker on top of dash also as I’m sure the sound quality will be great and it’s a lot cheaper at £825 rather than £2500.
A picture would be fantastic if anyone has access to it 👌

I don’t think (not 100% though) that HK sound system comes with a speaker on the dash, at least like the one that looks like the B&W speaker. My conclusion is based on: HK sound system is available as a payable option on the new XC40 just like the B&W’s system is available on XC60. If you look at the product brochure for XC40 none of the pictures that featured the dash has depicted a speaker on the dash that looked like B&W speaker. However, if you look at the product brochure for XC60 in almost all the pictures that featured the dash Volvo have shown B&W’s speaker on the dash, perhaps to promote the B&W system that I completely agree with you looks and sounds great.

Refer to the attached screenshot from Harman Kardon website. There will be a tweeter on the dash but it won’t be anything like the one that comes with B&W system.

It does look good. I took a photo of one a few weeks back when I popped into my local dealer to have a look at the XC40 just after launch.

It really suits the new XC40 too (as does the bursting blue).
