turbo problems
Turbo for my V70 T5 with engine no B5234T3 184 kW.
Recently with running engine to long stationary (city busy traffic) noticed that a blue qualm came out of the exhaust. After driving with some speed it was gone again. Looking under the car I saw a drop of oil hanging under the TC what could be an indication that either seal or bearing leakage oil when engine is running. Then you get the problem to find a turbo for my car. I don't like to have second hand as you don't know what you buy so I went for new. The other reason i went for the new part is simply that there are so many turbo's for this car even with this engine number that you cannot find the correct one. The price you pay (comes from Sweden) was Euro 1.240 incl all treats, nuts, packing's etc to have this complete done and the use of new bolts/nuts is not something you don't need to renew as we all know that bolts/nuts being there for years will snap! so I will place some pics from my new turbo charger what will be mounted ASAP as don't want to take the risk that is goes completely wrong. It is a type TD04HL-16T serial no 4400081 and part no 8602395 (made in Japan ( Mitsubishi.) This is the only one that belongs with a 184kW (250hp) engine with type B5234T3. Mine has an Aishin automatic gearbox. It is therefore that if others driving a car like I have to have the correct turbo installed as those are hard to find. Will revert when I have built in under the car. Try to add pics here but sitting in office will not go. Will do that later when I'm |

Gentlemen, all done, changed out the TC for the new one and my god should have done that long before.
In the oil line there was so much @****@ you will not believe it, wonder that it still was running! Now all set and same time did the drive belt, new spark plugs and some other small issues like bulbs etc. Even mounted a spoiler on the back with tuned the car nicely as it is done in the same paint. I will make a pic and put it here later. Car is driving perfectly and on the bench afterwards the engine is still making 244 HP so not to bad after all those years. Have a great one you all and take care out there |
