Default Amount of oil for diff?

Afternoon all,

I'm changing the diff gasket on the rear axel of my '68 131 (none overdrive) and will be changing the oil too (just landed from Brookhouse), can anybody please advise how much I'll need to refill it with as I'm unsure of correct quantity.

Many thanks

Tis also fill to spill - you will probably have to buy two 1 litre bottles (unless you get your axle oil in mega bulk quantities)

As a point of interest I was looking into this the other day and noticed that Kroon oil (a decent oil producer in the Benelux) recommend the same oil (of their offering) for the steering box so you might be able to use the left over for that if you fancy it

https://www.kroon-oil.com/nl/product...ponent:281540/

[Disclaimer - check if the oil you choose for your differential is indeed suitable for the steering box if you decide to do this it might not be the case for all manufacturers offerings]
