98 V70 R AWD fan / blower
Hi all,
Just noticed earlier whilst out in my V70 that the fan/blower doesn't seem to be very powerful. It's hot enough but there doesn't seem to be much difference if any from the lowest setting to the highest when the fan is on. I closed all the vents and had it on full blast towards the windscreen setting but it takes ages for it to clear. Any ideas?? Cheers |

If the heater fan is running but not increasing speed in relation to what you're setting it at could it be the resistor[I think that's what it's called]that's at fault?

From Haynes; Heater blower motor resistor removal.
Remove glovebox compartment[no need to remove glovebox lid to do this]disconnect wiring connector, undo screw and remove resistor from alongside heater blower motor housing.Refitting is of course reversal of removal. If your car has ECC you might be able to check for any fault codes before removing/replacing any parts. |
