Looks like a really proper job, can't wait to see the finished car. Bit of a resto freak myself, but I can really appreciate the work you've put into this, should be a really nice ride when its done.

Nice to see a 4 door been done.
For those into restoration look at as another car that will be kept on the road rather than scrapped. Out of interest what is the split screen front end in teh background? |

Well thanks for the comments chaps, nice to have other people appreciate the work. Just love the shape of these amazons and I think with a roof chop will look even better. Well in my eyes anyway!!
The truck in the background is a 1946 2 ton chevy stakebed. Its got a 235 ci straight six in it. Theres a pto to power a huge ram so the whole body tips. I have had it working and running. Even drove it into the shop. Once the volvo is done its the next on the list. |

Loon, forgive my ignorance, what are appletons. Plans for the rest of the car. Well I dont really know. Dunno if I should use the b20 I got or to go for the old favorite and stick a rv8 in it. Gonna french the lights and do something mad with the back ones. Lake pipes sounds cool especially if I go the rv8 route. Going to loose all the door handles and put it on poppers. Need to get the roof finished first.
Alf ista. stovebolt.com is the place to go for old chevy trucks. Loads of info. c ya Matt |

Hi Matt!
I'm more into originallity - but I do respect peoples taste and creativity - and you seem to take a serious route - which I always set above taste! Anyway - If you haven't discovered the website Volvo Amazon Pictures - then please do - it's a great collection of all sorts of valuable info etc. And you might even find some inspiration in the picture gallery: Customized Amazon's - a lot of roofchopped Swedish Amazon's
